Due to staffing shortages, the NC Secretary of State’s office is experiencing a backlog, causing filing requests to be delayed. Some filings, such as annual reports and reinstatements, can take up to 8 weeks to be processed if not expedited. 24-hour expedited service is available for $100 additional, or same-day service is available for $200 additional if submitted before 9AM Eastern.
