HB 2929 CANCELLED!

They heard your calls and read your emails. This evening they cancelled the public hearing again last minute! Secretary Kim Wyman and Former Secretary Ralph Monroe were on deck to testify, but now we do not know the status of the bill.

That being said, they did not remove the Executive Session scheduled for Monday morning at 8:00. Some have suggested that was to allow the bill to be brought up and exec’d out of committee with limited or no opportunity for public comment. As the primary stakeholders of this bill that is an unfair practice that bypasses your input should it happen.

Again it looks promising, but if you are able to monitor please do. It is very possible for it to be snuck through on Monday.
